Why not let people vote on the internet on the appointed days? All we need to do is ensure that every legitimate voter has access to a signal and some sort of device over a short period of time and that we don't let CGI Federal, Verizon, or United Hellcare build the systems? :)Centralized voting and databases would go a long way towards preventing fraud, and as long as the servers don't run Linux or Windows, there's half a chance. And no, I'm not trying to sell our stuff - we don't DO "server side" ... there's BSD and Blackberry's QNX OS is also damned good and safe. Sadly, most government systems aren't running either yet, but they COULD. |
