If they're going to deny their only real ally's chief foreign service officer the ability to negotiate and end the war they've started then that ally should show them just how lonely the world can get when they're truly alone. After all, you want the budget cut, so start with foreign military aid to Israel and Egypt. If they don't want us as allies then they shouldn't want our money either. |

The U.S. and Israel are friends. obama, and what poses now as the current democrat party and Israel and the Jews are not friends. Anyone who pressures Isreal into giving away land to so-called palestinians, is no friend to Israel and the Jewish people. |

The rebels are only holding on because Russia is firing on Ukrainian forces. The EU is finally on board for more sanctions. Congress (mainly the House) refuses to do anything except tell Obama to enforce the law, but won't authorize any money for immigration reform. And Hamas and Israel was a powder keg waiting to happen. What do expect Obama to do about the latter - military action? As if Israel needs military help? We're already sharing intelligence about Hamas' infrastructure. |

If they're going to deny their only real ally's chief foreign service officer the ability to negotiate and end the warPerhaps this should suggest to President Obama that John Kerry is an incompetent, self-aggrandizing waste-of-space who should be fired. That would be an intrinsically popular decision at home too: the majority of Americans rejected him on the same grounds nearly ten years ago. |

Which in total is more than I could see Romney doing about this. There's a ill waiting for a house vote the Senate sent over weeks ago. the President said he would sign it. Yet they do nothing. That would resolve the immigration question s a whole. If Israel can process and absorb 50,000 Eritheans and Sudanese and manage a battle scenario in Gaza at the same time, why can't we handle these kids? (Yes, Israel has seen that many refugees, walking across the desert seeking a stable place to live. It's been going on for about the same amount of time the Central American kids have been arriving, about a year. They manage it with o drama. We could learn a thing or three from them) |

How is it any different from Israel's position that it was Hamas themselves that killed those three boys and thus were deserving of retribution? It's clear that Israel did not murder that boy, and it's equally clear that Hamas did not order the murder of those three boys. Neither killing constituted an act of war, but that's exactly what we got after their rhetoric. |

Israel can hardly claim Hamas is using civilians as shields when they're fighting through one of the most densely populated areas in that region. Ignoring the propaganda from both sides leads one to the conclusion that the truth lies somewhere in between, and both sides are culpable for those civilian deaths. But only one side can stop the civilian deaths by agreeing to a ceasefire and ending the war, and that's Israel. |

Stop the horseshit revisionism. The war started when Hamas went apeshit after that Palestinian boy was killed and they started launching every rocket they had. Israel ONLY went into Gaza AFTER Hamas rejected the ceasefire brokered by EGYPT and approved by the ARAB LEAGUE. And Israel is in Gaza for two reasons. (1) Get rid of the rockets and (2) Destroy the tunnels. Don't equate the two, it makes you look stupid. |

It's fawning love for Israel's totally justified war, ignoring the genocidal overtones, and celebration of their glorious victory over the bottle rocket brigade, or nothing, eh? The very fact that they feel the need to attack Hamas when all Hamas has proven is that they're completely and utterly incapable of mounting even the most rudimentary of attacks is simply sad. They're not going to disarm Hamas, any more than America was going to dismantle Al Qaeda, and in the end Hamas will come out stronger. |
