I’m still trying to. I still think that Diet Pepsi is too sweet compared with Diet Coke. But Werblin only has Pepsi products.

It’s interesting to see the battle of the franchises: Wendy’s lost to Pepsi (unfortunately). I was hoping that I could still get Diet Coke at Wendy’s (which is affiliated with Coca Cola on a national level). I wonder what legal machinations took place there.

You'll get over it.

At the First Mariner Arena (Formerly the Baltimore Arena, before that the Civic Center) the consionary switched from Coca-Cola to Pepsi products a couple of years ago. I prefer Coke, but can put up with Pepsi. One oddity I've noiticed around Baltimore, it that even though 99 44/100% of Dr. Pepper francises are held by Pepsi bottlers, a lot of places serving Pepsi products don't carry Dr. Pepper, which I like as much as Coke. My wife won't touch Dr. Pepper, she says it tastes like medicine to her.

If Arby's has Sierra Mist, try that. Tastes pretty much like Sprite.

Dr. Pepper is owned by the Dr. Pepper Company of Dallas TX. They never did have national distribution like Coke and Pepsi. When they went national, they contracted with local bottlers for manufacture and distribution of their product. Sometimes with Pepsi, sometimes with Coke, and occasionaly with a different company.

In markets where Pepsi distributes Dr. Pepper, it usually comes in a Pepsi shaped bottle, and Coke markets Mr. Pibb against it.

In markets where Coke distributes Dr. Pepper, it usually comes in its own shaped bottle, since Coke will put nothing but Coke in a Coke shaped bottle. And Mr. Pibb is nowhere to be seen.

Our local Arbys has a real nice atmosphere, is rather quiet, and seems to cater to predominately senior citizens. It is a nice place to go order, and then sit down to eat at a modest price. It's a place where two people can eat for 8 to 10 dollars, whereas it would cost 20 dollars or more at a regular restaurant. We used to have a Hardees here that was even nicer, but they closed up. Hardees seems to be disappearing in this area.

I have tried Sierra Mist, and do like it, but it is not available at our Arbys. There seem to be a number of handles for Mountain Dew, like, maybe they're pushing it.

I would not want to look tacky and carry in my own drink when I went there.
