The whole move behind shutting down liquor stores and handing their trade to the big boxes is the same economics while putting the small businesses and their employees on the dole. There is a value added by small business, and among one of them is better variety and quality. Shut them down and hand their sales to the rentiers majeurs, and you have this instead:
