Because teaching things like this inevitably leads to the beating and killing of LGBT people. You can say that homosexuality is against your own beliefs, and that's fine. But teaching people it is "forbidden" or a "line that must not be crossed" is going too far.

Before you bring up pedophilia as a "line that [also] must not be crossed", I'll remind you that gays are not pedophiles. Gays have sex with other consenting adult gays.
