I was the founding scoutmaster of troop 794 in Queens. We began meeting in a room donated by Long Island Jewish Hospital. We eventually moved to one of Lindsay's community City Halls on 188th St. and Union Tpke. The mayor made the space available so the scouts would not have to meet in a place where many of them already spent too much time already. |
