Why? It is perfectly acceptable for Obama to be personally uncomfortable with gay relationships or gay marriage. On the other hand, the Obama administration has refused to defend the Defense of Marriage Act. Intelligent people can understand that something can be right, even though their prejudices, largely the result of their upbringing, tell them otherwise.
