And let me elaborate: You are correct. it's perfectly acceptable for an extremist liberal president to be against gay rights when it comes to "Same Sex Marriage".It’s difficult to have an intelligent debate when you intentionally misuse adjectives. Obama is no extremist. We can debate liberal. And trying to be sarcastic about the issue doesn’t help. I repeat: you say you are intelligent. Try and have a nuanced debate. There are questions. There are a lot of Americans who are uncomfortable with the issue because of their upbringing. I’m not saying this because I want them to die, but the statistical fact is true: they are older and dying. The younger generation, at least as far as I have found it in the academia of Rutgers, New Jersey, by and large doesn’t care. You can have the gut feelings that you like. I can have the gut feelings I like. But I acknowledge that it doesn’t matter. In the long term it’s the 20-somethings who will win. |
