? What do you mean by "charitable contributions from his books"? Do you mean to say he has revenues from those books and then donates to charity, which reduces his tax burden?

I agree that his tax rate is normal for someone in his bracket. People don't understand that the top bracket is around 35% starting at almost $400,000. So every dollar under that amount is taxed at a lower rate.

People are also forgetting that Obama paid $30,000 or so in Illinois taxes. I wonder why Obama is still paying local taxes in Illinois? He's not a full-time DC resident?
