The FJ40 has the quirky styling that made the Element stand out compared to other cars in its class, but it's obviously rigged towards the rugged off-roading SUV.It's also possible that Honda overestimated the ability of its target market to buy new cars. After all, it's not easy making car payments every month on a Starbucks barista salary. Especially when you're also paying off student loans from your $30K/year liberal arts education, that very same education which qualified you for a career making decaf skim lattes. Are we talking about our non-Masters Degree path college students in majors? I'm currently a political science student, and I know for a fact that I'll have to plunk down at least 20-40K for a graduate school so I can make some decent money and sneak my way in NYC's government industry. |
