But within the upper class, those whites are having at least two kids. I'm talking UES types. They always have and always will have at least 2 kids. Overall the white birthrate is dropping.There in, I think, lies the problem. An affluent man who marries a less high-powered woman can expect to have more children, as she isn't burdened by career and can be a stay-at-home mom. If today, more high-powered men instead marry career-minded women, there will be simply less time for children. You do know, these people have BABYSITTERS don't you? Upper class women don't put their careers on hold anymore. |
