All I said was that in Roman times there could have been more (genotypical) non-heterosexual men. In fact, many were strict homosexuals and that led Rome to experience a serious population decline.It is my suspicion that the societal acceptance of same sex behavior in Greek and Roman times may have led the trait to the trait being bred out (as it was possible for gay men to not marry and reproduce) which coupled with the suffusion of German genes may have reduced the trait to its current levels after the Empire fell. |
