There were NO documented strict homosexuals (except for maybe Elagabalus ). Roman culture did not look down on same sex attraction for a man. For them, it was not about the gender of the partner, it was about who was on top and who was on the bottom.Historical evidence belies the strict biological separation of sexual attraction. It's far more complicated than most want to admit. |
