When 1% of the population has 23% of the wealth, I don't see a problem with redistribution in and of itself. In fact, I'm in favor of a negative income tax, to encourage people (mostly minorities) into the workforce by making low-wage service work a more viable option (since most of them are unqualified for other work). |
