Why should the Catholic church be held to a higher standard?Because on issues of life, it holds itself to a higher standard. Also as Spider-Pig said, the Catholic Church has a centralized hierarchy with a clear leader and with influence over more than a billion people. They are much more important than any other denomination. Even non-Catholics pay attention when the Pope or high ranking Vatican officials say something. The Church has deliberately chosen to protect the life of Timmy The Spermatozoa over that of Mary the Grown Woman even though everyone knows that Timmy will KILL her. |
