By the way, IQ is also negatively correlated with religiosity, and atheists do indeed have higher average IQ's than do the religious. So yes, to sum up, atheists are smarter than religious people (big shock #2).Atheists tend to be nasty, lonely, confrontational people. Incapable of long term relationships. I ask you to go to Rego Park/Forest Hills/Kew Gardens Hills to test the IQ's of the religious Jewish people. They have a prayer bar on their front door, maintain a kosher diet, and during sabbath, they don't do any household chores or even take the apartment building elevator. No driving. No working. They are very religious, but not fanatically so, and I don't get the feeling they have low IQ's. In fact, I think they are better people because of their lifestyle. I feel the same about the many families I know from my old working class neighborhood in Ridgewood, Queens. The stable families are the ones who go to church on the weekend, but they are not fanatically religious. In fact, many of the atheists I know are childish, and did not do as well in school or life. They are missing something in their lives. One friend, whose parents go to Mass, will do stupid shit like order a cheeseburger on Friday during Lent and call his parents and tell them about it. Even if one is an atheist or agnostic, one should go to church or synagogue each weekend. |
