It's racist. What's worse is that it is unwittingly racist (you guys should check out Denzel's first theatrical movie Carbon Copy some time). I like how the dude is going out of has way to use "urban" as a stand in for black even when he is urban himself (completely removing the meaning of the word in that sense)! You guys have indicated that many if not most hip-hop fans are white. But most people who embrace the hip-hop culture are black or brown (Latino). Worse, the black and brown ones are the ones to be concerned about.... |
