If rape and incest were not specifically exempted (as they should have been), then that would have been TERRIBLE framing of the proposition.As for Prop. 74 and 75, that shows that there needs to be a test to make sure that voters are SMART enough about the issues. Here, in a strongly blue state, assuming that Proposition 73 specifically exempted rape and incest, as well as threat to life, NY voters would have voted yes on ALL FIVE. However, some voters who decide these issues do not know their (buttocks) from their elbows, or so it seems, and they drag down society as a whole. |
