Sorry my friend but we disagree on that. When you have 153 seats up for grabs in the 2004 election and not one changes hands you know the politicos have feathered their own nest, and when we spend more than we take in it means we have to raise taxes to cover that. And what that does is hurt the middle class who have to scrounge to save to buy a home, save to send their kids to college, and scrounge to have a decent nestegg for their retirement. How is it that today kids leaving college are in debt up to their eyeballs but when I left school I still had a little in savings; in other words, I was in the black and not in the red. How come today's 30 and 40 year olds cannot save enough or invest enough to have a nestegg like my wife and I have? Sir, the answer is taxes and the fact that the government uses us for a bank. |
