Yea..you're so right! instead of trying to FIX public school education where ChrisR16 lives....he chooses to ABANDON it altogether....Indeed, I wish more would abandon it. Things change when you have a kid. Your personal politics become secondary to the good of your child. I never supported vouchers, until I became a father. Before, I thought that if parochial and private institutions sapped the public school system of it's best and brightest students (unlike public schools, private ones can accept and decline whomever they want) it would basically bring the system down, to the detriment of all the kids in need. As a father, I don't give a rat's ass about other kids, I only want what's best for mine. That, for the moment, is catholic school. |
