In essence, people that send their kids to private school are often paying twice for their kid's education. Once through taxes funding the public schools they don't even use, and again through the tuition of the school they chose to send their kids too. There probably should be an exemption of school taxes for families that have kids currently enrolled in private school.School taxes make up the biggest part of most real estate tax bills. And much of that money goes to tenured teachers that can't be fired no matter how bad they are, many of which make 6 figure salaries. |
