Of course there is certainly bad Chicago pizza out there. Maybe more bad than good. But there are some foods that some locals will swear you can only get the good stuff where it's known. NY and Chicago pizza, Philly cheesesteak, maybe Buffalo wings. I haven't checked, but I would guess that many of the bad Yelp reviews for Chicago pizza in other parts of the country - including Detroit, Toledo and Cleveland - are written by people from Chicago saying that it's not authentic or as good as home. |
