NY and Chicago pizza, Philly cheesesteak, maybe Buffalo wings.NY and Chicago pizza, correct. Philly cheesesteak, correct. Buffalo Wings, not so much....that is pretty common everywhere. That is not to say you can't get a good Philly cheesesteak or NY pizza or deep dish pizza outside of NY or Chicago, but most of the time, it doesn't come close to the real thing. You can add Cajun/Creole cooking from New Orleans too, and Cuban sandwiches from Miami. I have tried it elsewhere, but it never comes close. There are also various styles of BBQ that usually you can't get outside of those areas of the midwest too. Memphis for example has a style of BBQing that you can only get there. Others may try and copy, but it never comes close. There are other styles of BBQ too that are tried to be copied elsewhere from other locations too. |
