Mr. Liddle said city officials made no effort to entice the company to stay in the Bronx, but that any incentives wouldn't have made a difference.I find this hard to believe. The city should have least tried to do something to keep them even if they knew it was a lost cause. Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. is pushing to bring another business into the 204,015-square-foot building—potentially a bio-tech firm—that would hire the workers who will be displaced. Unlikely, a bio-tech firm would be more likely to locate in Westchester or some other suburb. |
