That's in large part because unskilled labor - and skilled/professional labor - has been given subsidized housing.As one of those people in the former category (only an associate's degree no "real" college degree), in theory, moving away from NYC is probably a sensible solution, but for social reasons, I suspect that the only place that I'd feel remotely comfortable living in outside of NYC is another high cost of living region or leaving the country and moving to Canada. |
