Well, if transiting passengers are never screened again, then the entire world's security system is only as good as its weakest link.Would you feel OK about taking a flight from Zurich to NY if you knew there were people on the plane who had flown from Teheran to Zurich and then not been subject to an additional search in Zurich? Maybe the answer is that arriving passengers from countries with dubious security get discharged outside the security barrier. After all, that already frequently happens (for Customs and Immigration reasons, not security) if you fly from overseas to the US and change to a domestic flight. |
