Score another one for Homeland Security.Well, not their fault this time. Flight originated in Amsterdam and the man tried to detonate whatever he had strapped to his leg as the flight was about to land in Detroit -- so he never met the TSA. Passenger originated in Nigeria (Lagos? otherwise Abuja, I think) and flew from there to Amsterdam and then on to Detroit. No idea whether passengers have to reclear security if they are transiting through Amsterdam, but security at the airport in Lagos isn't exactly known for being the best... |
