A real problem in that may be beyond federal control; it is the issue of states starting to charge sales tax for orders that cross state lines, but are determined by where the person resides.What that means is that companies need to have an added cost in tax computation software that is detailed to every county in the United States. Leading the fight against this is Amazon, which is dropping affiliates in states that do this; I believe that this will reach the US Supreme Court, since interstate commerce is involved. |
