However...that his counterpart is a sitting Governor (Tim Kaine of VA) means that he can say Do as I say---and as how I do.I actually think that was the wrong move by Obama. There should be no arguing with success, and it is simply undeniable that Dean - even though he was constantly undercut and criticized by the DC crew - including Obama's chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, who had his career handed to him on a silver platter, and didn't have to work his way up the ranks - actually succeeded in implementing that 50 state strategy that the so-called wise men (Pelosi, Emanuel, Schumer, Kerry, Reid, etc.) thought so unwise. Dean was a very good manager, saw first time donations to the party skyrocket, and he also showed that he knew how to govern in office (Dean balanced budgets, lowered tax burdens, and expanded healthcare). |
