It'll be interesting to see how Lt. Gov. Steele steers this ship over the next two years. One challenge is to make sure that he doesn't come off as merely a "black face" to make the party look good - it'll be only a matter of time before the accusations start flying. Another, and perhaps even greater, challenge is to widen the tent - which means selling people (from all regions and ethnicities) on the idea that a) the GOP isn't out to screw them, and b) they offer ideas that can work and show how they can work. |
