That won't be Steele's biggest problem at all by any measure. The big problem wit selling conservative ideas is the mistrust of the Republican brand after having sold out, and the fact that the Southern Democrats are picking off dissatisfied social conservatives.All you need to know is that in the Senate, a Democrat (Ben Nelson) was the first to take issue with what the House passed. Mitch McConnell needed to be the first, but he is now seen as a follower. |
