The Democrat that won in a landslide in Virgnia, however, is a moderate (Mark Warner, no relation to Republican predecessor John Warner). So is Jim Webb.Same thing in North Carolina, a moderate Democrat (Kay Hagan unseated someone who must have been with the religious right (see Godless and Elizabeth Dole). Liberal Democrats don't win in these states. Also in North Carolina, after McCain chose Palin, McCain would cough up a 12-point lead and lose. |
