You're right about the lack of patrols. Cops are not nearly as visible as they used to be.In many places, they are watching on cameras now. Just sitting watching monitors and then responding to activity. I've heard NYPD has cameras everywhere and some cops sit in precincts watching then sending a patrol to respond. Overall, law enforcement wants fewer interactions with civilians these days. |
