September 11 is too close to Labor Day not to be somewhat awkward as a holiday. Yes, I have advocated moving Martin Luther King Day to the Monday before Labor Day, so by taking four days off work you could get a ten-day vacation, but there’s a big difference between before Labor Day and after, because schools are in session afterwards. |
