First thing is that companies will bitch and moan about having to pay time & a half plus time to work that day. I think of the MTA for example, everyone will be on overtime. Guess who going to pay for that??Another thing is the day will be cheapened as in "Wow! Cash in for bargains on our great 9/11 sale!" To me that would be a sacrilege. I personally have mixed feelings about it. I have no problem with having things just the way they are. |
