I'm not sure we'd have to do much to the existing laws except change them so that SUVs are regulated as cars rather than as trucks. Currenly, SUVs don't count toward an automaker's corporate average fuel economy (CAFE) because the CAFE only counts cars, not "trucks."I'm not sure how to do that. Perhaps we could say anything witha back seat can no longer qualify as a truck. Mark |
