Concerning Insist?

What are the guidelines about INSIST?

Do they vary from state, and Nation to Nation?

In some cultures, it was allowed and insisted upon.

The ancient Egyptians, recent Hawaiians, and some Hassidic groups.

I recall reading where a Hassidic grandfather performed the wedding ceremony for two of his grandchildren.

Please if I'm wrong correct me.

To what degree of relation is it not considered INSIST?
