I didn’t think it was as bad as it was exaggerated, but crime was higher, so there were more places to avoid. Like I’m pretty sure it was just as safe to walk along Fifth Avenue during the day. Maybe even safer because if someone shot you on Fifth Avenue, back then the shooter would lose support. |
