I'm a little later, and it was afternoon. I had an "altercation" on the M train in 1988 between Essex St and Hewes (yes, it was over by Hewes, marcy was still at the tail end). It ended okay, and I dont care to discuss it more that that...but it was a learning experience too. I was very young, and learned not to trust anyone. In the end, I was lucky....I was not hurt, and wasn't robbed, but it was only a few weeks into me riding the subway in that horrible nyc era alone, and it taught me well. It took me a few trips through there afterwards to feel secure again, but it is what is is.... And I also know that it is what it is. I'd never like to see nyc return to that time again , but there are certain politicians hell bent on it. |
