So long as you asked, from 2014, traffic deaths nationwide went from 32.7K to 38.8K in 2019 or about 2% increase per year. However in 2017 it reached 40.2K and then fell. In NYC in 2019 traffic deaths rose from 198 in 2018 to 215 in 2019 so while traffic deaths fell about 3% nationwide they rose in NYC by 8.5%. |
