So, you're OK with people of means being able to buy their way out of jail, and effectively participate in their own defense, but not ordinary people, who had to sit in jail, convicted of nothing, because they couldn't make bail?N.B.: The number of suspects who allegedly reoffend after being released is negligible, when counted among the total number of arrests made statewide. Background sources at DCJS told one of my colleagues the recidivism rate of pretrial suspects has pretty much remained constant so far. |
