How do you know they're innocent until there's a trial or the police find they arrested the wrong person?Our founding fathers said that the fact that you don't know is not an excuse for just keeping them locked up until trial. Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted. |
