Colleagues tell me ABC was trying to get B-roll for the VO/SOT, and somebody thought they could use the stock footage they had. It was a bad error (I'm sure one of the pool services could have sent over actual battlefield footage), but the story itself has been verified and reported by everybody else, with the correct video. |
