In the Magazine Article, where now I remember the guy was on the reparations board, someone pointed out to him that they can just walk to the meeting. I don't remember if they mentioned notes or whatever.I think the issue is still that they are still working. Second, if they are religious, then they have all of that going on, plus family time. Ivanka Trump wrote an article about how much she loves having the guaranteed family time per week. Which is great, because it leads me back to the book in the other example I posted. He has another chapter where he complains about the person who makes up excuses for not hanging out with colleges on Fridays after work by calling it "family time" instead of calling it by name. There's probably a whole series of conversations here depending on whatever hypothetical you want to use. But really, if you are meeting someone and are representing Jews in some capacity, at least stick to the culture. The church knows that Saturday is the special day; don't give them the satisfaction of the win. The Arab's know what a swastika is. Don't give them a win either. Both of them will fight you tooth and nail over something even symbolically smaller. We're not exactly talking about going to one of those seminars for financial advice for the free dinner here or hanging with colleges instead of going to "family time". |
