Second, if they are religious, then they have all of that going on, plus family time I mean, if you're religious, or you go somewhere that's religious even if you're not and they're welcoming, it ends up being like all day. The morning will stretch until like 2. And anything else depends upon when sunset is. And some people joke that it's a mitzvah to nap afterwards. Though it's probably true. "Work" is not what is prohibited. Could depend on how stringent you are? I **KNOW** someone else could answer that. All I know is work is work, if you're being paid to do it. The subject isn't up my alley, but I have three places I could hopefully find that addresses this issue, but I can't look until later so I'll have to come back to it. It's the day He ceases from creation, so if you want to get into technicalities, it stems from creating right there. |
