Just because someone is elected to public office does not mean they are qualified for anything. Elections today are popularity contests with little regard to who will best serve the interests of this country.Donald Trump is Exhibit A. AOC is Exhibit B. Don't fool yourself - if AOC was an ugly, buck-toothed hag she wouldn't have sniffed public office, much less a seat in the House. Factors other than political acumen, which in her case included being young, attractive, having a nice rack and the right ethnicity in her surname, propelled her to the House. Don't make her out to the be the next coming of Sandra Day O'Connor or Ruth Bader Ginsberg, both of whom exist in a intellectual galaxy far, far away from AOC. |
