You may have missed my point. I don't know if Merrick Garland would have been a great jurist. I don't see that his other two appointments have distinguished themselves in some of their previous opinions UpTo and inclusion the Trump travel ban. That said, once Harry Reid changed the rules, he opened the door for other rule changes. He ignored the warnings and now Democrats must live with what he has brought on.
