In NY, that's a household of five people, using the link I posted earlier. I'll assume the $150K is gross income and it's a married couple.2017: Exemptions of $4,050 x 5 = $20,250. Deductions of $40,000. AGI = $89,750. Tax is $13,915. 2018: Exemptions = $24,000. Child tax credit = $6,000. SALT deductions = $10,000. Mortgage deduction = $15,000. AGI = $95,000. Tax is $12,779. This family pays less in taxes under the new tax law. |
