With each attack, what does the owner usually say..."I don't know what happened. He is always nice, always gentle...I can't understand it" etc. Its an owner thing inasmuch as "Yeah I know about Pit Bulls, but thats other folks dogs...not mine" Always hear that too. Its unrealistic to wish that Pit Bulls will go away. IMO owners should be required to carry heavy dog liability insurance & the dogs registered like they were weapons.
