Re: RyanCare unveiled

When Obama care was introduced, it shifted the paradigm. Suddenly, healthcare became a right to be provided by government.

Government subsidized healthcare suddenly became a right but it wasn't Obama who introduced it. It was introduced by the Roosevelt administration as a wartime measure. Companies were prohibited to increase wages under wartime price and wage controls. Some "fringe" benefits were permitted to be offered in lieu of increased wages.

Company paid health insurance was one such fringe benefit. Moreover this fringe benefit was not subject to income tax on the part of the worker and its cost could be deducted by the company as a business expense. The US Government has been subsidizing healthcare as a "right" to those who received employer paid insurance.

All the ACA did was extend that government subsidy to all instead of the few.
